"The team has a championship goal." These words were said by Elgun Huseynov, the president of "Shaki," in his statement to Sport24.az.
The club president spoke about the team's goals for this season:
"We are fighting for a place that gives access to the First League. Since we didn't play with very ambitious teams in the first two rounds, victories were expected due to our squad. Most of the players in the "Araz-Saatli" squad are local players. They also worked hard, but they lacked experience. "Araz-Saatli" is not a weak team to deserve such a defeat. We wouldn't want such a big score. We have a goal, so goals and points are important to us. God willing, the championship will be ours."
It should be noted that "Shaki City" defeated "Araz-Saatli" with 12 unanswered goals in the 2nd round. Shakilians will host "Garadag Lokbatan" in the next round on September 23.
