Premier League season to begin with silence in memory of Diogo Jota and his brother;

The 2025/26 season's opening round of English Premier League matches will begin with a minute's silence in memory of Liverpool's deceased winger Diogo Jota and his brother, Andre Silva.

İdman.biz reports that this was announced by the BBC online publication.

According to the source, during the 1st round of the Premier League, players will also wear black armbands.

It should be noted that the Portuguese footballer died on July 3 in Spain in a tragic accident with his brother. Jota had been playing for Liverpool since 2020.
