Former Nottingham Forest head coach Angelos Postecoglou has shared his memories of being sacked by the club.
Idman.Biz reports that he managed Forest between September 9 and October 18, 2025.
"It was very cruel, it all happened in the coaching room. I knew it could be announced at any time, but I was fired immediately after the game. I hadn't even faced the press yet, but they already knew. I was just walking in the hallway.
I wanted to get out of there, otherwise I would do something I would regret. I wanted to get out of there. All the roads were closed, but after an hour and a half they opened again. I was stuck in traffic for 15 minutes. Chelsea fans gave me a 'warm' welcome, Nottingham Forest fans weren't so friendly, and then kids started approaching me wanting to take pictures with me.
It didn't leave any bad marks on me as a person or a coach. On the contrary, it made me realize that next time I should definitely consult with someone before taking on an impossible job," said Postecoglou.
