Lithuania and Poland national teams faced off in the next round of the European zone qualifying stage for the 2026 World Cup.
Idman.Biz reports that the match held at the "Darius and Girenas" stadium in Kaunas ended with a 2-0 victory for Poland.
In the 15th minute of the match, refereed by Czech referee Ondrej Berka, Polish midfielder Sebastian Szymanski opened the scoring. In the 64th minute, Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski scored the second goal, determining the final result of the game.
It should be noted that thanks to this victory, Poland is in second place in Group G with 13 points. The team is three points behind leader Netherlands. Finland is in third place after 7 games with 10 points.
