USA national team head coach Mauricio Pochettino has denied reports linking him with a return to Tottenham.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, the Argentinian specialist said:
"I think that every time there is a coaching vacancy at Tottenham since I left in 2019, it is said that I will return to the team. My name is on the list. I looked at the rumors. I saw that the club has 100 head coaches on the list.
I don't think there is anything to worry about in this regard. If something happens, you will definitely see it, but we cannot talk about it today because I don't think it is real today. I am where I am."
The Argentinian coached Tottenham from 2014-2019 and reached the Champions League final with the team, where the Londoners lost to Liverpool (0:2). Pochettino has also coached Espanyol, Southampton, PSG, and Chelsea.
The coach's contract with the USA national team is valid until July 31, 2026.
