İdman.Biz reports that the German coach is interested in extending his contract with Barcelona. Flick loves the city, the club and the fans. However, the coach links his future to Joan Laporta's position in the Catalan club and wants to work with him to shape the team's strategy.
If Laporta is not re-elected as Barcelona president on March 15, Flick's departure is possible either in the summer or after his contract expires in 2027.
After 26 games in the Spanish league, Barcelona leads the standings with 64 points and is four points ahead of Real Madrid.
