The Professional Football League has warned the newly promoted clubs that will play in the Azerbaijan Premier League in the 2025/2026 season about deficiencies.
This was stated to "Report" by Sanan Abdullayev, the director of Media and Marketing of the organization.
He noted that the shortcomings in the clubs are not only related to stadiums:
"Of course, as the Professional Football League, like others, regular meetings are held and discussions are held with the newly joined clubs in the Premier League. Their stadiums have been inspected and detailed information about the shortcomings has been given to each of them. The AFFA Executive Committee has given the new participants a one-year grace period and they already know their work. More detailed information about what steps will be taken regarding these processes can be provided by the clubs.
They have been warned about certain deficiencies. Deficiencies are not only related to the infrastructure of stadiums. Advice has also been given on what steps should be taken in terms of personnel. We have done our part. Will they play in their own fields, or will they rent another stadium that meets Premier League standards? It would be more accurate if club officials talked about this."
It should be noted that from the 2025/2026 season, Gabala, Karvan and Imishli clubs have been licensed to participate in the Premier League.
