The Professional Football League inspected the field of the Guba Olympic Complex based on the appeal of the "Imishli" club. Sport24.az reports that Sanan Abdullayev, Director of Media and Marketing of the PFL, stated this in an interview with Gol.az.
The "Imishli" club, which will compete in the Misli Premier League from the new season, has applied to the PFL to temporarily play its home matches at the arena in question. According to S. Abdullayev, positive aspects were revealed during the inspection of the stadium's field: "The field of the Guba Olympic Complex was inspected based on the appeal of the "Imishli" club. It is gratifying that the inspection revealed many positive aspects. There are stands on 3 sides of the stadium and it is suitable for holding competitions. The grass cover of the stadium is natural and in good condition. The irrigation system also meets the standards."
However, he emphasized that some work needs to be done at the arena: "The reserve players' bench and the technical zone need to be touched up. The condition of the changing rooms and referees' rooms is normal. However, certain work needs to be done."
He noted that all the details regarding the shortcomings in the arena have been sent to "Imishli" and the final decision will depend on the club: "All the shortcomings have been sent to the club in detail by the PFL. Whether "Imishli" will hold its home games at that stadium will depend on the steps the club takes."
