Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) president Maheta Molango has reacted to the numerous injuries among footballers.
Idman.Biz reports that 43-year-old Swiss Molango has played for clubs such as Atletico Madrid and Brighton.
"We have to face the facts. Before becoming PFA president, I am a fan. I watch the recent international games and see that Lamin Yamal, Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, Rodri and the current winner of the "Golden Ball" (Usman Dembele - ed.) are not there.
You may think that this is only a problem in men's football, but it is also the case in women's football. Lucy Bronze, Leah Williamson are out. As a fan, I ask myself: is this the football I want? We cannot think of this as an isolated incident. Regardless of "Barca", "Real", "Chelsea", I want to see the players who are the pride of world football on the field... But these people are out of the game," said Molango.
