Pep Guardiola has started a new side project to prepare for life after leaving Manchester City.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, after a rare trophy-less season, the 54-year-old coach is now supporting a health and rehabilitation business in his hometown of Barcelona. He is partnering with neurosurgeon Mireia Illueca and psychologist Montse Escobar to open the Monarca Clinic, a high-performance rehabilitation center.
The clinic aims to help both professional athletes and ordinary people cope with pain using psychological and physical methods.
Guardiola joked about how difficult it is to coach: "I feel like I'm 75 years old now! I'm falling apart, everything hurts."
He added: "A friend of mine, who I think summed me up very well, once told me that I have three states: euphoria, depression, and a blank state. So the key is to try to stay somewhere in the middle of these three."
