Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has become the first head coach in history to spend a record amount of money on transfers.
Lent.az reports that, according to Transfermarkt, after the purchase of Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo for 72 million euros, the 54-year-old Spanish coach's total transfer spending reached 2.58 billion euros.
During his career, Josep Guardiola has coached the youth and senior teams of Spanish champion Barcelona, German champion Bayern Munich, and Manchester City.
Guardiola has been the head coach of the Manchester club since the summer of 2016. His current contract runs until the summer of 2027.
