Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has assessed the prospects of the team's new signing, Rayan Cherki. Sport24.az reports that the Spanish specialist said he was satisfied with the French footballer:
"Rayan is one of the most talented footballers I have seen in my career. His talent... He is a player with the ball. The question is how he should fit into the team and how he should read the game.
He started well at the Club World Cup, but then seemed to fall into an offside position. I have a feeling that everything gets better when he gets the ball.
But you don't always have to do something exceptional - you just have to play football. There's something about him. The pass he made to Erling (Haaland) in the last minutes of the game against Everton... He can do it."
The 22-year-old French winger moved from Lyon to City last summer. He has made 7 Premier League appearances for the Citizens, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist.
