Former Real Madrid head coach Manuel Pellegrini has stated that Xabi Alonso is fully ready to work at the Madrid club.
Idman.Biz reports that the Chilean specialist has paid special attention to Xabi Alonso's experience.
"When I coached Real, Xabi Alonso moved to our club, and it was a great opportunity for me. He has extensive experience as both a coach and a player. He has played for Real, Liverpool, and the national team, and he understands his role well," the specialist said.
Pellegrini also emphasized Alonso's ability to deal with difficulties:
"I believe that Xabi Alonso is fully prepared and capable of overcoming the difficulties and failures that all teams face during the season."
He also spoke about the responsibility of working at Real:
"The demands placed on the club are extremely high. I have experienced this personally. We scored 96 points, which was the best result in the club's history at that time, but this is a club that always demands more, and as a coach, you have to give your maximum every day."
Pellegrini also touched on the situation in the squad:
