Chelsea forward Pedro Neto has been punished by the Football Association (FA).
Idman.Biz reports that the Portuguese footballer has been suspended for one match and fined £70,000 (approximately 158,000 manats) for unsportsmanlike conduct in the 28th round of the English Premier League against Arsenal, which ended 1:2.
Neto received a red card in the 70th minute of the match and then failed to leave the field in a timely manner and used abusive language towards the referee. The player later admitted his guilt.
An independent disciplinary commission imposed these sanctions after a hearing, and it was reported that the written justification for the decision would be published later.
