Portuguese specialist Paulu Bento, who was reported to be heading the Uzbekistan national team, has announced his final decision on the matter.
Idman.biz reports this with reference to the Uzbek media.
According to the information, negotiations between the team management and the 56-year-old coach took place in Tashkent. However, after returning to his country, Bento decided not to accept the offer.
Previously, a similar offer was made to experienced German football expert Joachim Löw. However, he also chose to decline the job.
It should be reminded that Paulu Bento's last job was with the UAE national team. Although he started working there with great confidence, he was dismissed from his position on March 26 of this year. Since then, the specialist has not signed a contract with any club or team and is unemployed.
Thus, the question of which specialist will lead the Uzbekistan national team remains open.
