Interview with Sportal.az after the away match against "Kapaz" (2:0) in the 4th round of the Misli Premier League by Patrik Andrade, the midfielder of "Araz-Nakhchivan".
- What are your impressions of the game?
- It was a difficult game. We had opportunities to score in the first half, but we couldn't take advantage of them. We started stronger in the second half. We tried to score the first goal and we succeeded. In the end, we won the game and that's the most important thing.
- The team made a number of passing errors during the game, especially in the first half. What do you think was the reason for this?
- Yes, that's right. We have to work on that. I have to work on myself too. More experience and time are needed to make better decisions in the game. We will get better step by step.
- What can you say about the national break? Did this break have a positive or negative effect on your training and your game?
- I think it was a bit negative. It's always difficult after the national break. We trained for a week, but we didn't have any games, not even a friendly match. Therefore, it is not easy to get back into rhythm after such a break.
- What can you say about your personal goals and the team's goals for this season?
- My personal goal is to play well and help the team. As a club, our goal is to approach the game game by game, win as many games as possible and perform better in every game.
- Your former team "Qarabag" qualified for the main stage of the Champions League this season. They have a game against "Benfica" in three days. What can you say about Qarabag's performance so far and in the future?
- I think they are having a very good season. Getting into the Champions League is a great achievement. Everyone is happy for them. I also have a number of close friends there, we are in constant contact. I wish them success in the next games and of course I will always support them as a friend.
- Your national team, Cabo Verde, is one step away from reaching the World Cup. What do you think about that?
- Yes, this is a historic moment. Everyone is very happy because we have reached this stage for the first time. There is still one game ahead and I hope that we will take that step and qualify for the World Cup.
- You were not called up to the national team in the last game. If your team qualifies for the World Cup, do you think you will be in the squad next year?
- I'm fighting for that. I try to do my best in every game. I wasn't in the national team in the last games. This was the head coach's decision and I respect it. But of course, I will continue to work to be in the national team and represent my country.
