Senegal head coach Pape Thiaw has commented on the decision to award the African Nations Cup final to Morocco.
Idman.Biz reports that Thiaw opposed the decision.
"I thought I wasn't going to answer this question because I'm focused on my job. The most important thing is not to get distracted. We know we are African champions. We will continue to work to win more cups. We understand that competitions and cups are won on the field. That has already been done; we are African champions," Thiaw told RMC Sport.
Earlier, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) upheld Morocco's appeal and awarded Senegal a 3-0 defeat in the African Cup final for leaving the field after a penalty was awarded for a foul on Brahim Diaz in the 90+8th minute.
