The Azerbaijan women's national football team has started its campaign in the qualifying round for the World Cup 2027. Sport24.az reports that our national team, which is in Group 3 of League C, played its first match against the North Macedonia team.
Before the match, Nigar Mirzaliyeva and Sevinc Jafarzade, who have played 50 games in the national team, were presented with the official uniform of the national team by AFFA as a souvenir. The gifts to the jubilarians were presented by AFFA Secretary General Jahangir Farajullayev and Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov.
The meeting held at the "Dalga Arena" ended with a 2:0 victory for our national team. Both goals in our team were scored by captain Sevinc Jafarzade.
