Azerbaijan's U-19 team has shown character in two matches held at the "Slovenia Nations Cup" friendly tournament.
The head coach of the team, Elkhan Abdullayev, said this in his statement to "Report".
The expert evaluated the training camp in Slovenia:
"The training camp continues. We have won the first two meetings. The opponents were strong, the games were tense. The children showed character and fought well on the field. We are preparing for the last game against the Polish national team, which will take place tomorrow. Of course, the Polish team is stronger than the previous two opponents and is considered the favorite. Everything is going according to plan. We will try to win the third game as well. The atmosphere in the team is good. Two victories are a stimulus for us. Of course, it is a test for us. We will test the children again, we gave each of them a chance. They showed themselves on the good side. I was satisfied with the gathering, very good conditions were created".
It should be noted that in the first two matches held at the "Slovenia Nations Cup", which it participated in within the framework of the U-19 training camp, it defeated the Iceland and Faroe Islands teams with a score of 2:1. The team will face Poland tomorrow in the last match of the tournament.
