Russian Interior Ministry spokeswoman Irina Volk revealed the identity of the organizer of the attempted kidnapping of St. Petersburg footballer Andrei Mostovoy. Sport24.az reports that she announced this on her personal Telegram channel:
"On October 23, several men attacked Mostovoy on the street and tried to force him into a car. However, the footballer fought back against the attackers and managed to escape from the scene. Law enforcement officers have already detained those suspected of the kidnapping attempt.
After an investigation, the police found the suspected organizer of the criminal activity and, together with Rosgvardia officers, detained him in the city of Kudrovo, Vsevolozhsk district of the Leningrad region. It turned out that he is a second-year student of one of the universities in St. Petersburg".
