These words were said by veteran football player Oqtay Abdullayev in his statement to Sport24.az.
Abdullayev stated that the national team expects victory from the match with Hungary:
"The beauty of football is in the goal. If there is no goal, it is useless. Previously, legionnaires made up the majority in the national team. Now it's our own football players. Since the new leadership came, there has been progress in a positive sense. The football player must also have skill. He must know that he represents the flag of Azerbaijan wearing the national team's uniform. Players must have national spirit. If they increase ball control and dangerous episodes in the game with Hungary, they can win. If they play weakly in this too, I will have nothing to say. It is true that the championship has just ended, and the players feel tired."
