Okan Buruk, the head coach of Turkey's "Galatasaray" football team, made harsh statements against information leaks within the club after the 3-1 away victory over "Göztepe" in the 27th round of the Super League.
Idman.Biz reports that the experienced specialist called the regular leaking of the starting lineups to the media "treachery." Buruk specifically mentioned journalist Kaya Temel, emphasizing that internal information gives rivals an advantage.
"There are traitors within us who harm "Galatasaray" by leaking information that should remain confidential to the outside. In particular, it is unacceptable that a journalist named Kaya Temel regularly receives inside information and the starting lineup is released. This is open treachery against "Galatasaray". Our rivals prepare based on this information," said Okan Buruk.
The head coach also noted that to prevent these leaks, he may not test the main squad in the final training sessions if necessary. He added that it is also unfair to blame players like Metehan Baltacı, who has been out of the team for a long time due to injury, in this matter.
