Okan Buruk: 7 players being on yellow card limit is a problem for "Galatasaray"

"Galatasaray" will host "Liverpool" in Istanbul as part of the first leg of the UEFA Champions League `1/8 final stage. Sport24.az reports that the head coach of the "yellow-reds," Okan Buruk, participated in the press conference held before the match.

The 52-year-old specialist said that having 7 players (Uğurcan Çakır, İsmail Yakobs, Davinson Sançes, Abdülkerim Bardakcı, Roland Şallai, Noa Lanq, Viktor Osimhen) on yellow card limit could create a problem for them:

"It's good that a Turkish team is in the 1/8 finals. We want to go further. It is an important game to earn points for the country's ranking. We want to win the first match. I hope we will achieve this. Our biggest problem is that 7 of our players are on the yellow card limit. If our defense line and goalkeeper receive a yellow card tomorrow, they will not be able to play in the return match. This is a big problem for us. I hope no one gets a 'yellow' tomorrow. We have played 10 games in the Champions League. After a certain point, the cards should be cleared. It is difficult to play with so many yellow cards. We must also think about these things for the return match."
