"Nuremberg" sporting director Joti Chatzialexio spoke about Azerbaijani national team member Mahir Emreli leaving the team at the end of the season.
QOL.az reports that he said in a statement on the club's official website that they had reached an agreement not to extend the contract with the 28-year-old striker:
"It is important for us to make a decision as soon as possible regarding players whose contracts are expiring. Together with Mahir, we agreed not to continue our relationship after the summer. We would like to thank Mahir for his efforts this season, especially for his dedication. We wish him all the best."
It should be noted that Mahir Emreli moved to Nuremberg last summer. He has played 23 games in all tournaments for the German representative this season, scoring 8 goals and assisting 1 goal.
