The number of signatures collected to support candidates in the Barcelona presidential elections has been announced.
Idman.Biz reports that the threshold for official registration is 2237 signatures.
Former club president Joan Laporta submitted the most signatures - 8171. In the last elections held in 2021, he was able to collect 10272 signatures.
Victor Font, supported by former "Blaugrana" coach Xavi, collected 5144 signatures. He was also supported by William Meddock, who collected nine signatures.
Mark Ciria, a graduate of the "Barça" academy, submitted 2840 signatures of those who supported him.
Former Barcelona board member Xavi Vilajoana was able to collect 1621 signatures. Therefore, he will not be officially registered as a candidate.
Another candidate, Daniel Xuan, submitted only 84 signatures.
