Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has been injured.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to Sky Sport that the experienced goalkeeper is experiencing a problem with his right calf muscle. He will miss the team's training sessions in the coming days and will undergo further medical examination.
The source reports that the Munich team captain is unlikely to participate in the Bundesliga's 23rd round match against Eintracht scheduled for February 21. The club and the player intend to monitor how the situation develops and do not want to take risks.
Neuer's current contract with Bayern is valid until June 2026. The goalkeeper previously announced that he would make a final decision on extending the contract at the end of March or in April.
The German footballer has been playing for the Munich club since July 2011. In the 2025/2026 season, he played in 28 matches in all tournaments, conceded 27 goals and kept his goal intact in nine games.
