Nottingham Forest's official X social media platform page announced the death of former midfielder John Robertson at the age of 72.
Idman.Biz reports that Robertson played for Nottingham Forest from 1970 to 1986 and became an integral part of the club's history.
During his career, he won the Champions Cup twice, the UEFA Super Cup, one Premier League title, two English Cups and the Super Cup.
In total, Robertson made 350 appearances for Forest, scored 71 goals and provided 36 assists. Robertson was assistant head coach at Aston Villa from 2006 to 2010.
