Nominees have been determined for the "Best Coach" and "Best Player" awards of the 2024/2025 season in Spain. Sport24.az reports that the league's press service has shared this information.
Seven specialists are competing for the title of "Best Coach." They are Hans-Dieter Flick (Barcelona), Ernesto Valverde (Athletic), Michel Sanchez (Girona), Diego Simeone (Atletico), Jose Bordalas (Getafe), Manuel Pellegrini (Betis), and Manuel Pellegrini (Espanyol).
The list of nominees for "Best Footballer" of the season includes four from Barcelona: Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, and Pedri. From Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, and Federico Valverde could also be chosen as "best." Also, two Spanish attacking midfielders - Isco from Betis and Oihan Sancet from Athletic - could win the votes of the fans.
It should be noted that the Catalan representative won the gold medals of the Spanish championship by scoring 88 points in 38 games in La Liga. Real Madrid, which came in second, was 4 points behind. Atletico finished the current season in third place with 76 points.
