"The first games are always very difficult." These words were said by Nodar Mammadov, the captain of "Khankendi", who plays in the II League, in his statement to Sport24.az.
The experienced football player shared his thoughts about the game in the first round, in which they defeated "Dinamo" with four unanswered goals:
"We suffered a lot in the first half. Regardless of the identity of the team, the first matches are difficult. There was also excitement. But in the second half we were able to recover."
He said that the head coach gave them some instructions during the break:
"The coaches said that it is necessary to take advantage of opportunities. They said that we can't play like this. Thanks to the players as well. They said their word."
Mammadov added that their goal in the II League is the championship: "Our team has a name. We will do our best to achieve our goal."
