The return leg of the Champions League play-off match between "Newcastle" and "Qarabag" has not generated the expected excitement among English fans.
Idman.Biz reports, citing British sources, that there are still vacant seats in the sales system ahead of the match. Some of the tickets in the upper tier of the "Leazes Stand" stands allocated for the away sector have been returned and put on general sale for the home fans. Initially, about 500 guest tickets were put on sale, but later this number exceeded a thousand and continued to grow.
In addition, activity is observed on the club's official resale platform - a number of season ticket holders have put their tickets up for sale. This situation is mainly related to the result of the first match in Baku - "Newcastle" won 6:1 away, largely resolving the issue of the next stage.
It should be reminded that about two thousand British fans attended the first meeting in Baku. The return match will be held in Newcastle on February 24 and the starting whistle will sound at 23:59 Baku time.
