A nine-year-old female football player in Azerbaijan has received an offer from Sweden.
Idman.Biz reports that football expert Kenan Mastaliyev shared this information on his social media account.
He stated that nine-year-old Nuray, a resident of Sumgayit, has been rejected by AFFA:
"This girl's name is Nuray, she is nine years old. She has a tremendous love for football. Girls' leagues in Azerbaijan start from the age of twelve, and until that age, there is no girls' team in her city - Sumgayit. It is also not possible to take her to Baku. A hopeless situation has arisen. Her coaches appealed to AFFA, asking them to allow her to play in a team with boys of her age as an exception. The organization refused, citing the rules".
The expert asked AFFA to give the little girl a "green light":
"According to the information I have, the child already has an offer from Sweden, and they are insistent. They will take her, and in 6-7 years we will be sleeping at her family's door, asking her to come and play in our national team. She is a ready-made cadre. She already plays with boys all day long, surpassing them. Such exceptions have been made before, some girls have been allowed. Anyway, in competitions in the lower age groups, the result does not matter, scores are not recorded. The competition is at an amateur level. Let's give her a chance as an exception, let's check how it will affect".
