Borussia Dortmund head coach Niko Kovač spoke about the upcoming first leg of the Champions League play-off stage against Atalanta.
Idman.Biz reports that Kovač praised Atalanta.
"We currently have four injured centre-backs. We don't want to risk [Niko] Schlotterbeck, so he [is not being considered for the upcoming game]. The coach's job is to find solutions and be creative. We have several alternatives and we can also change the formation. I trust everyone who can play in this position. Julian [Ruerson] played in central defence against Juventus, Salih [Özcan] can also play there.
"Atalanta" has an excellent team that has developed over the years. They won the Europa League two years ago. The game will be one-on-one all over the pitch and will be very intense. There will be moments when we create opportunities, but they are a very strong opponent. I rate the chances as 50/50," said Kovač.
