Nikita Khaikin, the goalkeeper of the "Bodø/Glimt" football club, has received Norwegian citizenship.
Idman.Biz reports that this was announced by the NRK agency.
"It is now confirmed that Nikita Khaikin has received Norwegian citizenship and a passport. This has been confirmed by official documents," he said.
Thus, the goalkeeper already has Russian, Israeli, and British citizenship, in addition to Norwegian.
The new citizenship increases Nikita Khaikin's chances of participating in the 2026 World Cup as part of the Norwegian national team.
