"Our preparation for the new season of the First League is continuing at a high level." These words were said by Nijat Suleymanov, the new transfer of "Sabail", in his statement to Sport24.az.
The 26-year-old midfielder spoke about the goals of his new team for the next season:
"We have an excellent team for the First League. God willing, we will become champions with this squad and get a ticket to the Premier League again. After the expiration of my contract with "Kapaz", I had offers from some local and foreign clubs. I want to stay in our country, show myself in a good light and get an invitation to the national team. I think that "Sabail" is separated from the Premier League by one year. We will return to where we belong. The team management and coaching staff were able to build a good team for the First League. Most of those in the team are football players with Premier League experience. We also want to take advantage of experienced football players and finish the next season as champions."
The football player, who spent last season in "Kapaz", also commented on the unsuccessful start of his former team in the Premier League:
"I have played in "Kapaz" for 3 years. The team is not foreign to me. I have a lot to say, but you can't say everything. I wish all the football players of "Kapaz" success. God willing, the Ganja club will rise to where it deserves."
It should be noted that Suleymanov played in 20 games for "Kapaz" last season, scored 1 goal and 1 assist.
