Semi Ajayi put Nigeria ahead in the 36th minute. Charles M'Mombwa equalized in the 50th minute. Ademola Lookman scored Nigeria's winning goal in the 52nd minute.
Group C includes Nigeria, Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda.
The Africa Cup of Nations is held in Morocco. 24 national teams divided into six groups participate in the competition. The tournament lasts until January 18. The current Africa Cup of Nations champion is Côte d'Ivoire.
