"Santos" captain Neymar admitted that he was ashamed of what happened after the match against "Vasco da Gama" (0:6), which they lost by a big score in the 20th round of the Brazilian championship. Sport24.az reports that the star football player said in his statement to "Daily Mail" that the fans even have the right to insult them:
"I'm ashamed. I was completely disappointed with our performance. The fans have the right to be angry. They have every right to swear at us, to insult us. I'm really very ashamed. I've never felt anything like this in my life."
Neymar also explained the reason why he couldn't control his tears:
"The tears were from anger, from everything. Unfortunately, I can't help everything. Anyway, this is complete garbage. That's the reality."
It should be noted that the 33-year-old forward played his 250th match overall for the San-Paulu representative, to which he returned after 11 and a half years. Neymar experienced such a bitter defeat for the first time in his career.
