English club "Newcastle" plans to sign "Sporting" (Portugal) defender Ousmane Diomande in the summer.
"Report" reports, citing "A Bola", that the "magpies" have chosen the 22-year-old footballer as their main target to strengthen the defense.
According to Portuguese media, "Crystal Palace" is also interested in the transfer of the central defender, and both clubs are closely watching the player. Eddie Howe's team, which has problems in the defensive line, intends to eliminate the existing deficiency with this transition.
Ousmane Diomande, who renewed his contract with the Lisbon representative until 2030 in January, has a release clause of 70 million pounds in his contract. However, according to the agreement reached between the club management and the player, the transfer will be allowed if an official offer in the range of 35-43 million pounds is received in the summer.
