"Newcastle" played their highest-level game of the season against "Qarabag".
According to "Report", this was stated by "Newcastle" head coach Eddie Howe at a press conference before the return leg of the UEFA Champions League play-off stage against "Qarabag".
The specialist stated that they had prepared well for the match:
"We have prepared well for the Champions League match. We have had many good games in the continent's most prestigious club tournament this season. We performed well against "Qarabag" away. However, for me, the result alone was not important in that match. We also fought well in terms of the game. We were very eager in that match. And from the beginning to the end of the match, the advantage was on our side. I think that we played our highest-level game of the season against "Qarabag".
It should be noted that the "Newcastle" - "Qarabag" game will take place in England on the night of February 24-25, at 00:00. In the first match in Baku, the guests were superior with a score of 6:1.
