London's "Arsenal" club is showing interest in Sandro Tonali, one of the key players of "Newcastle", who will be "Qarabag"'s opponent in the Champions League play-off stage.
Idman.Biz reports, citing insider Florian Plettenberg, that the London representative will try to reach an agreement on the transfer of the 25-year-old Italian on the last day of the winter transfer window.
It is noted that the "Newcastle" management is not interested in selling one of the team's key players. However, "Arsenal"'s interest in Tonali still remains.
Tonali's transfer value is estimated at approximately 75 million euros (151.2 million manats).
In the current season, Sandro Tonali has played 24 games for "Newcastle" in the English Championship, remembered with one assist and received three yellow cards. The Italian midfielder has been wearing the uniform of the English club since 2023.
