Newcastle United CEO David Hopkinson has responded to rumors that midfielder Sandro Tonali may move to another club.
Idman.Biz reports that it was previously reported that the player could move to Manchester United, Manchester City or Arsenal.
"We don't have an overall strategy about players going out. We carefully consider what players might want to do or not want to do this summer. But if a situation like Isak happens again, any player under contract will leave on our terms and we will maximise the opportunities that this might create for the club.
Our strategy in the future is to buy profitably and sell profitably. Buying profitably doesn’t necessarily mean spending the maximum amount. It means looking for players who bring the greatest value to the club, not the price paid for them.
So we have to use a variety of methods, including developing our own players, looking for opportunities in the market and making sure we are making the most of the opportunities we have within the price range we can afford," Hopkinson told Sky Sports.
