Italian Roberto De Zerbi will become the new head coach of Tottenham.
Idman.Biz reports this with reference to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
According to the source, the London club has reached an agreement in principle with the 46-year-old manager and is finalizing the details of a five-year contract. De Zerbi is expected to become one of the highest-paid coaches in the Premier League and receive a "large financial bonus" if Tottenham does not drop to the Championship at the end of the season.
De Zerbi previously worked in the English Premier League, where he coached Brighton. The Italian specialist's most recent managerial role was at Marseille, from which he left in February 2026. De Zerbi has also coached Shakhtar, Sassuolo, Benevento and Palermo.
On March 29, Tottenham Hotspur dismissed head coach Igor Tudor, who was appointed on February 14 of this year and was the team's third manager for the 2025/26 season. The club had previously parted ways with Dane Thomas Frank and Australian Angelos Postecoglou.
