The reason for the release of 19 players from the "Jabrayil" club has been revealed.
This was stated by the new head coach of the team, Bakhtiyar Soltanov, in an interview with "Report".
He stated that this decision was made earlier:
"The decisions regarding the release of players were made before I came to the club. They released 19 players and kept 3. We invited the rest. I think we have created a normal team. As for our goals, we will play for higher positions compared to last season. We will try to move forward as much as we can."
The expert believes that several clubs will compete for the championship this season:
"Why not the championship? But it would not be right to say anything concrete now. Everything depends on the progress. There are good teams in the championship. I can mention "Shafa", "Mingachevir" MOIK and "Zaqatala". I think 3-4 teams have the potential to play for the championship."
B. Soltanov also said that they have finalized the transfer issues:
"We have finalized the transfer work. There are currently five foreign players in the team. The rest are local and young children."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijan I League will start on September 11-12. "Jabrayil" will be a guest of "Zaqatala" in the first round.
