There has been a new appointment in the Azerbaijan national team consisting of football players under 21 years old.
Idman.biz, referring to Sportnet.az, reports that Rauf Mehdiyev has been entrusted with the position of goalkeeping coach in the team.
He will work in U-21 under the leadership of head coach Rashad Ayyubov.
Mehdiyev's last job was the club "Mingachevir", which plays in the I League. He left the team in the summer together with head coach Fuzuli Mammadov and other assistant coaches.
It should be noted that after Aykhan Abbasov was appointed head coach of the main national team of Azerbaijan, U-21 was entrusted to Rashad Ayyubov. Farid Namazov will be Ayyubov's main assistant. The name of the physical training coach has not yet been clarified.
