Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer may return to the national team.
Report, citing Bild, reports that this is due to the absence of the team's current goalkeeper, Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
The German goalkeeper, who plays for Barcelona in Spain, is expected to be out of action for several months due to back surgery. Thus, the more experienced 39-year-old Neuer may receive another call-up to the national team to participate in the 2026 World Cup. It is reported that the "glove holder" is ready for this.
It should be noted that M. Neuer announced the end of his national team career in August 2024.
