Bayern's 40-year-old goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has denied rumors that he will not return to the German national team due to a conflict with national team coach Julian Nagelsmann. Sport24.az reports that Neuer announced his departure from the national team in August 2024.
The experienced goalkeeper commented on the matter to ZDF channel:
"That's just not true. We have been in contact. He was my coach at Bayern. We have no problem between us. On the contrary, we have a good relationship. What people say doesn't interest either of us, so we take it calmly.
I am not preparing for or participating in the World Cup process. My focus is entirely on Bayern, as I have said many times before. I simply enjoy being a part of this team. We have many important and decisive games ahead of us and I will try to enjoy them."
