"Neftchi" has started the Premier League without a win for the 3rd consecutive season.
Idman.biz reports that the "white-blacks" drew with "Shamakhi" in the first round of the 2025/26 Misli Premier League season – 1:1.
The Baku club failed to win the starting match against "Kapaz" away in the 2023/24 season, and against "Turan Tovuz" at home in the past championship – 0:1 and 0:0, respectively.
Not winning in the first game of three consecutive championships is "Neftchi"'s new anti-record in the Azerbaijan championships. The capital representative had previously lost points at the start in consecutive seasons once - in the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons.
It should be noted that "Neftchi" celebrated victory in the first game of 21 out of 34 seasons.
