"Neftchi" has won the II "Ulduz Cup" international tournament among U-12 football players. Sport24.az reports that in the final match of the competition held at the stadium of the Guba Olympic Sports Complex, jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, AFFA, and the "Ulduz" Football Academy, the "white-blacks" defeated Uzbekistan's "Pakhtakor" club in post-match penalties and won the cup – 1:1; 5:4 – pen.
The cup and gold medals were presented to the winners by Farid Gayibov, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilgar Mahmudov, Head of the Guba District Executive Authority, Jahangir Farajullayev, General Secretary of AFFA, and Mehman Alimov, Director of "Ulduz" FA.
It should be noted that in the group matches of the tournament, which was attended by 12 teams from 7 countries, "Neftchi" faced "Sabah" (0:0), Kazakhstan's "Shakhtyor Karaganda" (1:1), and Uzbekistan's "Pakhtakor" (1:0) clubs. In the 1/4 final, "Neftchi" defeated Uzbekistan's "Bunyodkor" (1:0), and in the semi-final, Tbilisi "Dinamo" (0:0; 5:4 – pen.).
