"Neftchi" has won the II "Ulduz Cup" international tournament among football players under 12 years old.
Idman.biz reports that in the final match of the competition held at the stadium of the Guba Olympic Sports Complex, with the joint organization of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, AFFA, and the "Ulduz" Football Academy, the "white-blacks" faced the "Pakhtakor" club of Uzbekistan.
The match ended with a score of 1:1. "Neftchi" won the penalty shootout 5:4 after the game and won the cup.
The cup and gold medals were presented to the winners by Farid Gayibov, the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilgar Mahmudov, the head of the Guba District Executive Authority, Jahangir Farajullayev, the General Secretary of AFFA, and Mehman Alimov, the director of "Ulduz" FA.
It should be noted that "Neftchi", which participated with 12 teams from 7 countries, faced "Sabah" (0:0), Kazakhstan's "Shakhtyor Karaganda" (1:1) and Uzbekistan's "Pakhtakor" (1:0) clubs in the group games, and defeated Uzbekistan's "Bunyodkor" (1:0) in the 1/4 finals, and Tbilisi's "Dinamo" (0:0; 5:4 – pen.) in the semi-finals.
