Continuing its transfer efforts for the 2025/2026 season, "Neftchi" intends to strengthen its squad with a new defender.
Idman.biz reports that, according to Sport24.az, the "white-blacks" are interested in Lucas Masoero, who plays for the Romanian representative "Universitatea".
The 30-year-old Argentine player has parted ways with his club due to the expiration of his contract. In addition to "Neftchi", Turkey's "Gaziantep", "Genclerbirliyi", "Karagümrük", and the United Arab Emirates' "Baniyas" and "Al-Dhafra" teams also intend to transfer Masoero.
It is not yet known which offer he will accept.
It should be noted that Lucas Masoero, who has been playing for the Romanian representative since 2023, has played 68 matches and scored 7 goals.
