"Neftchi" has formalized relations with its new legionnaire.
Idman.biz, referring to sportinfo.az, reports that this is Ifeanyi Metu, the former midfielder of the Nigerian U-20 national team.
The legionnaire, who has the status of a free agent, has successfully passed a medical examination in Baku. A 2-year (1+1) contract has been signed with him.
The 28-year-old foreigner, who last wore the Zurich shirt in Switzerland, also wore the Lilleström shirt in Norway and Osmanlıspor in Turkey.
He moved to Europe from Nigeria in 2016 and has since played for several clubs on the continent. He last appeared on the field on February 2.
